A man has been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries in connection with an alleged dangerous driving incident on one of West Norfolk’s busiest roads earlier this month.

Witnesses are still being sought in connection with the incident on the A10 between Downham and Lynn, in which several motorists are believed to have been forced into taking evasive action.

Police say the incident happened between 4.30pm and 5pm on Friday August 15.

A blue Volkswagen Golf was seen being driven erratically along the road between the A1122 junction at Downham and the Hardwick roundabout at Lynn, a distance of around nine miles.

Investigating officer PC Sam Harris said: “We understand a number of motorists had to take avoiding action and we’d be keen to hear from those drivers, or anyone else who may have witnessed the incident.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Harris via the non-emergency 101 number.
