The annual RAF Marham Friends and Families Day on Thursday was again a great success.
The weather stayed dry for most of the day allowing the invited guests and families to enjoy a three-hour flying display, static aircraft display, fun fair, and various stalls.
Unfortunately the Falcons parachute display team were unable to display due to the amount of cloud but the crowd’s disappointment was short- lived as the aircraft of the Battle of Britain Memorial flew overhead to start their display.
The Chinooks, Tornados, Apaches, Wildcats and Sea King also displayed making it a fantastic event – and the flying concluded with a formation flypast by the Red Arrows.
During the day the Brietling Wingwalkers displayed with their daring wing walker on top of the aircraft wowing the crowds with their acrobatics
The annual Friends and Families Day is held as a “thank you” to all the families and friends of the Station for the support that they have given throughout the year.
Station Commander Group Captain D Cooper said: “The support of our families and friends is absolutely essential to the personnel here and without it Royal Air Force Marham’s delivery of successful operations would be impossible.”
