Poppies are to be sown in two strips along Oasis Way Hunstanton to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of the First World War. The area was measured by Chris Durham, the borough council’s operations manager (left) and Pat Richardson, vice-chairman of Hunstanton in Bloom.

Mr Richardson said: “We are also going to sow ‘Golden girl’ mix to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Britain in Bloom and sowing all these poppies is part of the plan to have two million blooms in Hunstanton for our Anglia and Britain in Bloom judges later in the year.” Photo: Lesley Richardson
