Michael Lee, the former King’s Lynn Stars speedway rider, has been charged with rape.
Suffolk Police said today he faces two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of actual bodily harm.
Lee, 54, of Worlington, near Mildenhall, was charged yesterday at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and will appear before Bury Magistrates’ Court on October 21.
The charges relate to incidents which occurred between January 1, 2008 and December 28, 2012 involving two women.
Lee, who is a co-promoter of the Fen Tigers, raced for King’s Lynn, Poole and Boston and was individual world champion in 1980.
