The charity that helps feed people in desperate need has received a £1,200 cash boost from a restaurant event. Middletons Steakhouse held an anniversary charity dinner in support of Lynn Foodbank which provides food parcels to individuals and families identified by care and support workers as being in crisis.

Monday, July 7 marked the Middleton restaurant’s third annual charity event, and this year they collected more than in past years, having previously raised money for Help for Heroes and Lynn’s Discovery Centre.

Foodbank seemed a natural choice of charity this year, as Tracy Hutton, of Middletons Steakhouse, explained: “The cause has been highlighted in the media quite a lot and there’s real need at the moment. We are absolutely delighted to have raised our personal best.”
