A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a crash yesterday.
Emergency crews were called to the incident on the A1122 High Street in Fincham at around 4.10pm on Sunday, following the collision between a red Jaguar XF car and a blue Triumph motorbike.
The male rider of the Triumph was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he was said to be in a critical condition yesterday. No-one else was injured.
Police have appealed for anyone who either witnessed the collision, or who saw either of the vehicles involved prior to it, to come forward. The motorbike had been travelling towards Downham, while the car was heading in the opposite direction.
They have also thanked local people for their co-operation and patience as officers dealt with the incident.
Anyone with information should contact PC Darren Wynne, of the roads policing unit at Swaffham, on the non-emergency 101 number.
