Motorists should expect long delays as road workers repair the damage after yesterday’s (Wednesday, March 28) fatal crash.
Jeffrey Hain, who was 66, his wife Marion who was 69 and their 36-year-old son Christopher were pronounced dead yesterday morning (Wednesday, March 28).
Their silver Kia Ceed was in collision with a lorry on the A47 at East Winch at around 11.15am yesterday morning. The lorry driver escaped without injury.
The Highways Agency is working on clearing the scene and making reparis.
A spokesman said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved in the incident.
“The Highways Agency and its contractors worked with partners including police at the scene to reopen the road as soon as it was safe to do so. Our contractors were involved in clearing the scene, and removing spilt oil and diesel from the road. This work, which has been affected by heavy rain, continues, with the use of two way temporary traffic lights in the area.”
