The opening of Hunstanton’s latest pub and restaurant, the Honeystone, will take place today, Monday.
Leigh Woods, assistant manager of the new venture in Southend Road, said: “We have had people trying to get in for the last two weeks.”
Leigh has teamed up with duty manager Saul Cassie under the new general managers of the business, Rob and Jo Maton.
Leigh, 26, is a former pupil of Lynn’s King Edward VII High School. He previously opened the Deer’s Leap in Wootton Road, Gaywood, and worked at the Globe Hotel in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place.
Saul, 26, attended Smithdon High School. He worked in his father’s restaurant in Hunstanton and as a builder before joining Marstons Taverns, the owners of the new pub, which has created 48 jobs.
Leigh said: “It’s a new concept offering two-for-one on main courses, all day, every day. I think it will fly.”
Nine similar pubs have opened in East Anglia in the past two years.
On Wednesday, July 17, there will be a themed Hollywood night in aid of Hunstanton RNLI and Families against Neuroblastoma.
