Bus operator Norfolk Green has announced some fares will be rising by 3.5 per cent.
The Lynn-based firm says its prices have not increased in over a year but will be reducing some fares on Coasthopper. Increases will kick in on July 2.
Managing director Andrew Dyer said: “Prices have been at current levels for over 15 months since the previous fare revision in March 2013. This period has seen the cost of operating bus services increase and this has meant that it is necessary to make a small increase to most fares which will average around 3.5 per cent.
“The good news is that single fares within Lynn remain frozen at their current prices and return fares in the town are being increased by just 10p. This keeps fares in Lynn amongst the cheapest nationwide. On our Coasthopper service we are looking to encourage families to ditch the car and use the bus whilst on their holidays along the Norfolk Coast by reducing the prices of our family three and seven day tickets.”
