Hundreds of scouts renewed their promises during a St George’s Day parade in Lynn at the weekend.

Scouts and leaders from the North West Norfolk division took part in the service and standard parade at Lynn Minster on Sunday.

Every year, the division organises a ceremony for youngsters to renew their promise close to St George’s Day. St George is the patron saint of scouting.

Each of the 16 units which are part of the division took part in the service, which was led by deputy district commissioner Mik Ranger.

He said: “The church was full with hundreds of youngsters and their parents.”
