St James and Gaywood Park Old Girls Association has given £300 to Macmillan Cancer Care.

At its annual meeting, the association decides which local charity it will give £300 to and this year the money was raised with a bring-and-buy sales and raffles at coffee mornings.

Barbara Howling, chairwoman of the association, said that the group has a yearly meal to present the cheque.

Macmillan group chairman Howard Moore is pictured accepting the cheque from Eileen Baxter, treasurer of the association, with committee members.
