Parents will be able to head back to the classroom for literacy and numeracy lessons.
Gaywood and St Martha’s Primary Schools will be running the Keeping Up with the Children course over the next 10 weeks.
The free course is aimed to give parents an insight into modern teaching methods for the reams of homework over the next school year.
Two-hour sessions will be held from 1pm on Mondays and Tuesdays at the mobile classrooms at the Gaywood Primary site. There will also be a creche.
Gaywood headteacher Paul Shanks said: “I have done this at a previous school and parents really valued the sessions as they empowered them to put the skills into use.
“Parents have been worried about helping children with their homework in case they do it wrong but a lot of the time they are doing it right.”
Anyone interested in taking part should contact the school on 01553 774147.
