Garages could be making way for 10 new homes if planners give the greenlight.
Saffron Housing Trust wants to create one and two bedroom homes for disabled people in Orchard Lane, Gaywood.
The trust has submitted a planning application to West Norfolk Council to demolish seven garages on scrubland and put up the homes.
The planning application states: “The objective of Saffron Housing Trust is to provide high quality homes for disabled residents that require an assisted care provision, whilst maintaining an independent living arrangement.
“The homes in the proposed scheme are designed with community living at the forefront, providing each of the courts with secure entrance areas and communal space provided for resident use.
“The proposed scheme will provide the area with a formal use and structure, opening up the site and expanding the community already established in the area.
“Eight of the one bedroom homes provided in the proposed scheme are for people with physical disabilities that have an assisted living arrangement in place, while the other two one bed homes are designated as general needs.”
