Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal crash on the A47 which killed three people yesterday (Wednesday, March 26).
A silver Kia Ceed, travelling towards Lynn, collided with a lorry, which travelling in the opposite direction, near the Carpenter’s Arms pub at around 11.15am.
Paramedics pronounced three people, who were travelling in the car, dead at the scene. They are believed to be a man and woman in their 60s and a man, who is in his 30s, all from Lancashire.
The lorry driver suffered minor injuries.
There was also a minor collision between a silver Ford Transit minibus and a white Mercedes Sprinter van following the first collision.
The A47 was closed for around eight hours.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the manner of driving of the lorry or car beforehand.
