A project which could trigger £300,000 worth of investment in Lynn town centre could be moving a step forward if councillors support the plan.
West Norfolk Council’s cabinet members have been recommended to approve traders’ plans to create a business improvement district at their meeting on Tuesday, November 5.
Businesses could be asked to pay a levy on top of their business rates to fund improvements in the town centre for five years. A vote will be held in the spring.
BID committee member Jess Cunningham said: “It is brilliant news and without the positive reaction from the council we can’t move forward.”
