A West Norfolk poultry farm is being updated in an £2 million investment by its new owners.
Cobb Europe could be creating new jobs under plans to replace chicken sheds at Fen Drove Farm, Wretton.
The firm has applied to West Norfolk Council to build seven replacement sheds at the Wretton site.
The farm currently holds 40,000 birds but this may drop to 24,000.
Cobb is planning to use the site as a poultry breeding centre with chicks later being sold abroad.
Marketing manager Euan Meldrum said: “This is an exciting development for the country and one of a number of investments we are making in the UK and the Netherlands.”
The farm currently employs three people but this could rise to six or seven.
Wretton Parish Council will be discussing the planning application at a meeting on Monday.
