Smithdon School has forged an enterprising link with the Rotary Club using their management and recruitment skills to conduct mock interviews for young students.
Rotarians gathered at the Town Hall Hunstanton in pairs and were presented with 15-year-old students who had recently taken part in the work experience programme.
The questions, while being uniform, were varied to suit the perceived direction the student may be heading towards.
The score cards were then discussed with the students.
Bob Wright one of the organisers from Rotary said: “We have been conducting this service to our community in partnership with Smithdon School for four or five years now and the response gets stronger every year.
“A lot of our members, the majority now retired, held senior positions and part of their responsibilities would have been interviewing”.
Seated are, from left, Guy Brook, Rotarians Peter Atterbury and Adrian Evans; middle row standing, Rotarian Carol Bower, Hannah Cuthbert, Saffron Wright, James Burch, Callum Cruickshank, Rotarians Phil Newell, Muriel Motley and John Hornsby-Bates.
Back row: Rotarians Brian Devlin, Richard Bird and Bob Wright.
