A total of 74 runners gathered on the beach of Hunstanton in preparation for a 10k run in aid of the Stroke Association. The event was supported by Lynnsport, Oasis, King’s Lynn Parkrun and Downham’s Ryston Runners, pictured above. The sponsored proceeds will be shared between FOSU and the Stroke Association, the local Hunstanton Stroke Club collecting donations from the watchers.
Mike Ennis, secretary of the Friends of the Stroke Unit (FOSU) at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital , said: “Bathed in late summer sunshine there were more visitors around to create an atmosphere.
“However, where last year the wind dried the water from the course, this year the water lay and made the course interesting. “Runners were coming back more mudded, but in good spirits.”
