Colleagues and friends at a village school have said an emotional goodbye to its former headteacher.
Staff and governors at the Sedgeford Primary School held a farewell buffet for Laura Fox, who became head of a junior school in Essex, last Friday.
And Mrs Fox, pictured above third left, said it had been difficult to say goodbye.
She said: “I’ve built up so many strong relationships in the community. It was a very sad day and difficult to leave everybody behind.”
Mrs Fox joined the school as a class teacher in 2006 and became head in 2011. She also served as the head of several youth groups in the area.
Class teacher Emma Beck, pictured left, said: “She’ll be very much missed. She’s done so much. She was a massive part of the community.
“All the parents knew her, all the children adored her.”
