Spectators gathered at Lynnsport to watch as the gloves were donned for a sell-out charity boxing tournament in aid of Barney’s Angels.
And after an action-packed night of ring action, an amazing £12,000 had been raised.
The charity was set up in memory of Barry Flanagan, of Gayton, to fund research into the type of brain tumour that killed him.
“It was fantastic, everyone enjoyed themselves,” said Dell Mann, who filmed the event. “A lot were boxing for the first time. We had lasers, snow, fire and a covered entrance for them. It was an amazing night.”
Chris McKenna, Ben Tansley, David Yallop, Dell Mann and Mel Payne, friends of Mr Flanagan and organisers of the event, are pictured standing proud in the ring.
A total of £10,000 was raised on the night and a further £2,000 was donated by Ladbrokes of King’s Lynn.
Mr Mann said: “That’s a lot of money. We did really well and our thanks go to all who supported the event or who helped in any way.”
