Whacky races were organised to celebrate Pancake Day at Springwood High School in Lynn.

Teams of staff and students wore fancy dress to take part and £40 was raised for the mental health charity, West Norfolk Mind.

Teacher John Merritt said the races were planned by a group of students who had volunteered to raise funds
for and awareness of the charity.

“This is part of Springwood’s policy of giving students the opportunity to help with mentoring and voluntary organisations.

“A great time was had by all and many students turned out to cheer on the competitors,” he said.
