More than £3,000 has been raised for a host of good causes at Swaffham’s annual Christmas tree festival, organisers have announced.
Hundreds of people poured into the town’s St Peter and St Paul church for the week-long event, which ended on Sunday.
And officials have now revealed that the festival raised a total of £3,257.46 for the charities and community groups that took part.
Organiser Gill Creed said: “It went very well. Everyone thought it was really wonderful.”
She also thanked everyone who had visited the church and made a donation.
A total of 28 trees, decorated by a host of charity and community groups, were displayed in the church and visitors were able to make donations to their own favourites causes in collection buckets under each tree.
