More than 100 people underwent health checks at an event hosted by the Swaffham Lions.
Staff from the Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust joined Lions and Lionesses club members for the session at the Assembly Rooms last Thursday.
Visitors were tested for a range of health issues, including heart disease, diabetes and lung problems.
Four were found to have serious heart problems, while seven per cent were found to have diabetes and 10 per cent had lung problems.
Organiser Tony Lakey said both the club and the health professionals had been delighted with how the event went.
“The health groups asked if we could repeat the event again next year as they were thrilled with the response.”
