A Swaffham pensioner has handed over the cash she raised when she had her head shaved to mark her 80th birthday.
Jean Nesbitt made the headlines last month when she went under the razor to raise funds for the dialysis unit at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where her husband, Bill, is treated three times a week.
Mrs Nesbitt, pictured above right, raised £711 in sponsorship, which she presented to the unit’s manager, Lloyd Walpole, centre.
Also pictured, left, is Mrs Nesbitt’s friend, Janet Lanchbury, who had her head shaved to raise £560 for the Merle Boddy day centre that her husband Ron, who has dementia, visits twice a week. mlnf14am06094
