Shoppers at Swaffham’s Waitrose store have been doing their bit to help more good causes in the area.

Customers at the Castle Acre Road branch are encouraged to take part in the Community Matters programme, where the store makes donations to local good causes based on shoppers’ votes.

The latest donation, of £240, was made to the Friends of Parkers Primary School in Saham Toney, to go towards a new Trim Trail.

Other recent contributions included a £400 donation to the Churchill Park School in Lynn. The programme donates around £1,000 a month to good causes and store manager Steve Graham said: “It’s really important to us to that we support the community in which we trade.”

The store’s partner co-ordination manager, Martin Rutherford, is pictured above centre handing over the cheque to Shelly Keys and Clare Rowling.
