TEN MILE BANK: Road is to be closed

Major roadworks will take place on Engine Road in Ten Mile Bank from next Monday.

The split site extends from the Old Pump House to a point some 300m south of Mantons Farm. The work will take three weeks to complete and means the road will be closed to through traffic.

The carriageway reconstruction process involves the complete pulverisation and strengthening of the carriageway. A diversion via Ten Mile Bank, A10 Lynn Road/Ferry Bank and Modney Bridge Road will be in place.

Access to properties and businesses within the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time, although it is inevitable that there will be some disruption. Norfolk County Council, which is carrying out the work at a cost of £150,000, apologised for any inconvenience.
