John Travolta and Olivia Newton John topped the charts, James Callaghan was Prime Minister and mobile phones were still things that were carried around in briefcases.
But the year of 1978 is, incredibly, the last time that this home in the centre of Lynn may have been occupied.
Indeed the King’s Lynn Civic Society, which has come out and said something must be done about the number of long-term empty properties blighting the streets of the town, reckons it may even have been longer – way back in 1973.
An investigation by the Lynn News has revealed that the property is not the only one to have been left empty for many years – despite a chronic housing waiting list in the borough.
