Tottenhill pub the Dray and Horses raised £800 for charity by organising a series of golf days. The pub held the rounds at Denver Golf Club last summer for golfers and non-golfers in aid of Macmillan Cancer support.
Competitions included a ball throw, organised by Lawrence Burke, with the nearest to the pin winning a prize. Club professional Jason Groat provided tuition throughout. Angie Meyern and Ken Philpot have been raising money for Macmillan since her father suffered with cancer and she wanted to raise money as a thank-you to the nurses that supported him. Howard Moore, chairman of the Lynn branch for Macmillan, was on hand to accept the large cheque.
