A vacant Norfolk County Council building could be demolished in the planners give the green light.

The county council wants to knock down Marsh House and the former Alderman and Jackson school, in Marsh Lane, and put up housing in its place. An outline planning application was lodged with West Norfolk Council on April 16.

Marsh House was the home of the Tom Thumb Nursery until the nursery was evicted in 2012 as the council looked for savings. The nursery now runs from St Edmund’s Church, North Lynn.
