Van driver dies in Feltwell

A man was killed when his white Nissan van went into a ditch on Southery Road in Feltwell this morning.

The accident happened at about 6.45am when the van and a blue Toyota truck were in collision. The van driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 55-year-old man from the Thetford area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody at King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre awaiting questioning.

The road was closed until 11.20am whilst a collision investigation got under way.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the manner of driving of the two vehicles beforehand. Officers also want to hear from anyone who may have seen any debris in the road prior to the collision.
