Today is the day when thousands of students receive their GCSE results.
Although many head teachers warn of “grade turbulence” due to the changes to core subjects which have made them harder than ever.
There are fears that the number of students gaining 5 A*-C grades will not be as high as in previous years, with some students not gaining the grades they were predicted beforehand.
This year also sees the start of new legislation forcing students to stay in education or training until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17.
We will be hearing from students from many of West Norfolk’s high schools to see if pupils achieved the grades they wanted, or more importantly given the tougher exams, the grades they were predicted.
