A West Norfolk health campaigner has travelled to Westminster to urge MPs to do more to raise cancer survival rates.

More than 100 Cancer Research UK ambassadors travelled to London last week to call on Parliamentarians to lobby ministers on the issue.

Among the group was Sue Kennedy, who met her local MP, South West Norfolk’s Elizabeth Truss.

Mrs Kennedy said she had been “excited” to join the campaign.

She said: “I know that this is a great way to help make a difference.

“I feel passionate about supporting Cancer Research UK’s work. So many people are diagnosed with cancer and it’s vital that we do all we can to help save more lives.”
