Five West Norfolk schools previously graded good by Ofsted have successfully passed interim inspections.
The schools have now been told they should not require another full Ofsted inspection until summer, 2014.
They are Gaywood, Rudham and Wormegay primary schools, and Heacham and South Wootton junior schools.
Ofsted said schools found to be performing well during interim inspections would in future be inspected less frequently, usually every five years, instead of 12 to 24 months for schools requiring improvement.
