Children from Magdalen Village School and Wimbotsham Primary had a day to remember when they took part in a mass choral concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
The singers were from years 3 to 6 and among 1,700 children appearing in a concert in aid of Barnardo’s. They have been practising since January on three medleys of Beatles, Queen and Disney songs.
Andy Prior, acting assistant head at Magdalen, said: “It was fantastic – a chance of a lifetime. It was packed.”
Mr Prior, pictured with the children outside the hall in west London, said that next year children from St Germans Primary will be included in the choir in an activity that earns credits for the volunteers’ graduation from the Children’s University.
