Fundraisers are getting ready to brew up a storm during the world’s biggest coffee morning later this week.
People across West Norfolk will be doing their bit for Macmillan Cancer Support by running a coffee morning on Friday.
The event started in 1990 and has raised more than £75 million to pay for services to help patients battling cancer.
All events will be held on Friday unless stated otherwise.
Staff at the Grange Hotel in Willow Park, South Wootton, will be running a raffle and bring-and-buy sale along with serving coffee and cake from 10am to noon.
Teaweet Up will be held in Baxter’s Plain, Lynn, from noon while events will also be held in the town’s Marks and Spencer’s store .
Bankers will be serving coffee in Barclays branches in Downham and Lynn.
Ring Associates, in King Street, Lynn, will also be serving tea and coffee from 10am.
Tea will be served in Southery Village Hall from 10am and a bingo will be held from 6.30pm.
Traders in Back Lane, West Winch, will be supporting a coffee morning at the Orange Tree from 9am.
Homemade cakes and other stalls will be set up in Denver Village Hall from 9.30am to noon, while The Angel in School Road, Watlington, will be serving coffee and cake from 10am.
Bees Motors in Lynn Road, Downham, has been gearing up for the event by collecting a large number of raffle prizes. Coffee will be served from 10am.
Downham Market and District Fundraising Group will be serving coffee in the Conservative Club from 9.15am to 11.15am.
A coffee morning will be held at Low Ash, Little Lane, Stoke Ferry, from 10am to 12.30pm while The Dray and Horses in Tottenhill is holding an event from 4pm.
Spotty Pig Farm, in Leziate Drove, Pott Row, will be running activities for youngsters and a performance by Lynn Town Band during an event on Saturday from 11am.
A coffee morning will also be held in Leziate Village Hall on Saturday from 10am.
Dersingham Library is also running a coffee morning on Saturday from 10am.
A coffee morning and jumble sale will be held in West Acre Village Hall from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, October 6.
Dixiemix will be taking part in a jazz night organised by Swaffham Macmillan fundraising committee on Saturday, October 5, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 from Ceres book shop or call 01760 440451.
Staff at the Asda store in South Wootton have raised £856.10 for Macmillan during a recent collection.
