Organisers of a charity ball held in aid of a girl who is battling leukaemia have praised supporters after the event raised thousands of pounds.
The ball, held in aid of the Chloe’s Dream Appeal at Marshland High School in West Walton on Saturday, raised around £4,500 to help five-year-old Chloe Chaplin, pictured front centre during the evening.
That, along with the money already raised, means fundraisers are closing on their target of sending Chloe and her family to Disneyland Florida when she beats the disease.
Organiser John Fleet said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for making the day successful and helping to raise enough money for Chloe.”
The event included a three-course dinner, live music by the band Rapture, a raffle and stalls.
As previously reported, the idea for fundraising came after Chloe was diagnosed with leukaemia, just as her family had booked to travel to Disneyland Paris. MFCP14AF05444
