An investigation has been launched after a pedestrian died in a collision outside the Norfolk Arena in Lynn late on Saturday night.
The 32-year-old woman, who had not been named as the Lynn News went to press yesterday, was leaving the Stock Car world final, which had been taking place at the venue, at around 11.20pm, when she was involved in a collision with a black Renault Trafic minibus.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the area, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman confirmed the victim was not from the local area, but could not confirm reports that she may be from the Netherlands.
Up to 8,000 motorsport fans had been expected at the event and police say that roads in the area were very busy at around the time of the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has information about it, is asked to contact the Norfolk Police serious collision investigation team on 101.
