Work to start soon on £5 million King’s Lynn regeneration scheme after Heritage Lottery Fund grant secured

Work will soon be starting on a £5 million regeneration scheme to transform one of Lynn’s most historical areas after winning a Heritage Lottery Fund grant.

Long awaited plans to restore Lynn town hall and a makeover for Saturday Market Place along with improving the St Margaret’s Conservation area will now go ahead.

West Norfolk Council has secured a £3 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The council is also contributing to the scheme.

Speaking earlier today (Tuesday, June 17) council leader Nick Daubney said: “This is an absoultely fantastic opportunity and we are starting a fantastic challenge. I couldn’t be more pleased as this is my favourite part of Lynn.

“The plans is to bring back vibrancy and business back to the area.”
