A worker was punched in the head in an unprovoked attack close to the site where a new pedestrian crossing was being installed in Gaywood.

The workman was helping people to use a footpath close to Tesco in St Faiths Drive when a man punched him in the head before running off towards Gawyood Clock.

Police have just released details of the incident, which took place close at around 10am on Friday, March 7.

Anyone with information should phone PC Ian Halsall at Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
