Worshippers at Swaffham’s St Peter and St Paul Church have been busy preparing their displays ahead of the church’s flower festival, which opens today.

Dozens of displays have been prepared on the theme of “hymns of praise” for the event, which continues throughout the bank holiday weekend.

Our picture shows festival committee chairman Yvonne Plews showing off the shields she has created, which depict St Peter and St Paul.

The church will be open from 10am until 4pm today, tomorrow and on Monday for visitors to view the displays, and from noon until 4pm on Sunday.

All proceeds from the festival are for church funds.
