Crimplesham community spirit came to the fore when the village opened its buildings, gardens and garages
The special event was “Made in Crimplesham” and the theme was celebrating talent.
The inside of St. Mary’s Church was transformed into a gallery displaying a large selection of art and craft, including quilts, knitted toys, paintings, sculpture and hand-made musical instruments.
Visitors enjoyed wandering through the village, watching a demonstration of mosaic picture art, walking around the open gardens and finding bargains in the garage and yard sales.
Home-grown garden produce, home-made cakes and cream teas were all on sale in the village hall. The sun shone all afternoon and the event was well supported.
The organising committee thank all the villagers who loaned or demonstrated their art and craft, those who helped serve teas or opened their gardens and those who donated monies raised from garage sales and stalls.
The village hall and St. Mary’s Church benefitted from the £970 raised.
