A government minister experienced first hand the problems faced by drivers along the A47 when he travelled along the road yesterday.
Roads minister Stephen Hammond stopped off in West Norfolk during a tour of the route, in which he met members of the A47 Alliance and MPs Henry Bellingham and Liz Truss.
He said: “The whole point of today is to look at the whole of the A47 for safety issues and opportunities for growth.
“For me to travel the road and see things first hand shows what a good job the A47 Alliance and your MPs are doing. This was not featuring as one of the key priorities but is now one of six feasibility studies across the county.”
Mr Bellingham and Ms Truss said the day had gone well and the minister was listening.
