A 17-year-old youth has been charged in connection with an illegal rave held in a field at Wissington over the weekend.
The boy, who has not been named, will appear before the West Norfolk youth court on October 1 accused of carrying out an unauthorised activity in relation to the gathering on Friday night.
Police said that around 50 people had gathered for the event before officers were called and prevented anyone else from going into the field.
Sound equipment was also seized following the event, which ended at 8am on Saturday.
Chief Supt Robert Scully said: “This shows we will not tolerate raves and action will be taken against those organising these events. Unlicensed musical events are unsafe and disruptive to our communities.
“These types of event are anti-social and can cause a great deal of distress not just to local people, but can also have an adverse impact on the environment and wildlife.
“Where evidence is found to identify those responsible we will do everything we can to bring them to justice.”
