The 25th anniversary of The Fenman Classic Bike Show has been called the best yet with around 5,000 visitors helping to raise more money than ever before.
An impromptu flyover by a replica Spitfire delighted crowds who had flocked to the annual fundraiser in Wimbotsham on bank holiday Monday.
Committee member, Stu Cooper, said: “It went very well and was definitely the best year by far both for money raised and the amount of people who came along.
“We don’t have a final figure yet but we’re expecting it to be good.”
The event raised over £7,000 last year which was distributed among local charities and groups.
Mr Cooper added: “A lot of people really enjoyed the Spitfire, it was something really special for this anniversary.
“We had 180 bikes in the show in total which is about average. We also had a lot of traders there this year.”
He said: “I would like to thank everyone who came along and made it a brilliant day. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
“We’ve also had a few committee members leave and could do with some extra help organising next year’s event. Any help would be appreciated.”
