Swaffham Lions are planning an evening of entertainment in the town to celebrate the Chinese new year on February 9.
Widow Twankey will be hosting the evening, which will be a mixture of dance, games and quizzes along with a Chinese buffet, at Swaffham Assembly Rooms, to mark the start of the Year of the Snake.
Over the Christmas period, Swaffham Lions raised more than £1,700 to support local good causes with their Santa sleigh, which visited the town’s Waitrose store and RAF Marham.
However, due to health and safety regulations, the Lions now need a two-axle trailer to replace the single axle one they have been using for the sleigh.
Lions spokesman Dennis Tallon said: “If anyone has one they would like to donate we would be most grateful.”
He can be contacted on 01760 721550 for anyone with a trailer to offer or wanting tickets, £15 each, for the Chinese new year celebration.
