Hundreds of disabled children will take part in a day of sporting activities at Lynnsport on Wednesday, June 8.
The Adapted Sports Day will give children (8-16 years old) with disabilities the chance to take part in a number of sports, including: cricket, golf, short tennis, football, athletics and parachute games.
The day will be led by specialist coaches from Top Coaching, Lynn Community Football, West Norfolk Athletics Club, Norfolk Cricket Board, the Lawn Tennis Association and students from the College of West Anglia.
The event, supported by Dow Chemicals and The West Norfolk Sports Partnership, is designed to complement the range of sporting activities which are already on offer to disabled youngsters across the Alive Leisure sites in West Norfolk.
These are: the Kandoo Club, the Mini Kandoo Club the Ability Counts programme, disabled table tennis and fishing at Lynnsport, the Otters Swimming Club and the archery at Downham, along with disabled swimming sessions at St James.
For further information about any of the above disability sport initiatives, please contact sports development manager Adam Garford on 01558 810018.
