Costcutter retailer and mum of two, Sam Badesha is inviting families into her Castle Acre store to create gifts for Mother’s Day this weekend.

The store is offering local children the chance to make personalised gifts as well as a wrapping service.

Sam Bandesha, who runs the busy convenience store alongside her husband, Rash, said: “Family is at the centre of our business and a handmade gift is something to treasure. We wanted to encourage children in the local community to create gifts for Mother’s Day to show appreciation for all the hard working Mums in the area.”

Sam, who has owned the Costcutter store for seven years, always had an ambition to own a store after growing up in her parents’ shop in South Lynn. Just as she helped her parents to run their shop, Sam now hopes her children will one day work in her shop too.

She said: “Running a family as well as having a busy working life is the norm to me. I was always in my parents’ shop when I was a child and everybody knew each other. I am now seeing the same with my children.”
