Man arrested after jumping from King’s Lynn store balcony

A man who jumped from a Lynn supermarket balcony following an attempted theft has been arrested.

Police were called to Sainsbury’s in Dominic Square at 4.55pm on Wednesday in connection with an alleged theft.

A member of security staff was injured in the incident.

A man in his 20s was detained but taken to hospital. He will be interviewed by police once released from treatment.

The member of staff, a woman in her 40s, suffered bruising and a cut to her finger.

Nothing was stolen but a window inside the store was damaged.
