Hickathrift House care home, in Marshland St James, was filled with love in celebration of St Valentine’s Day on Tuesday.
Staff, residents and guests celebrated the day of love with a themed arts and crafts session and everyone has been trying their luck in our competition to guess the name of their valentines bear.
General manager, Jackalynne Shields, said: “Today has shown us all that you are never too old for love.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in our competition to guess the name of the bear.
“It helped us raise £46 towards some new arts and crafts equipment.”
The lucky winner was Wendy Williams, who selected the name Max, a carer at the venue.
Over the year’s, Hickathrift House has built up an excellent reputation with the local community.
The venue regularly holds events and activities for its residents, staff and surrounding neighbours throughout the calendar year.
