In the autumn of 1975 the Lynn News ran a series of photographs of local newsboys including this group of lads who worked for the Central News Agency in St James’ Street, Lynn.

In all there were 12 boys aged between 13 and 15 hard at work from seven in the morning, seven days a week, delivering papers in an area which included Hardwick and North Lynn. Mr Gordon Church, who managed the agency, praised his newsboys: “They do such a magnificent job in all weathers and we would be in a right mess without them.”
